Here's to Service Women
My mother was a lieutenant, jg, or junior grade. She served during WWII and was stationed in Philadelphia and then in Parris Island, South Carolina, where she cared for wounded Marines. I have a wonderful photo album that she compiled during her time at Parris Island. Should it (the photo album) collect dust in a box of future relatives, or be given to a military museum.
For anyone who would like to know more about their relative's military service, follow the link below to discover:
the full name of the service person
next of kin (at the time of service)
date of enlistment
date retired or separated
units with which served (Maybe this can help)
and any medals and awards to which the veteran was entitled.
